Allo Darlin - woody allen

In the movie of our lives, would Woody Allen write the screenplay? Not his best era, but certainly not his worst either But I wouldn't like to be like Diane Keaton in Manhattan So cerebral was she, runs away from any romance But though you're neurotic, and a little paranoid It doesn't make me Annie, it doesn't make you Alvy Woody Allen couldn't play you Woody Allen couldn't play you I know you want him to But he couldn't play youIf the Swedish director Ingmar Bergman was still with us What a mastermind but surely he'd have trouble with us See I wouldn't like to be like Bibi Andersson in Wild Strawberries What a doll she is, but I'm really not that complex And although we argue, and we have our problems And sometimes it gets bad, it never gets Bergman bad Max von Sydow couldn't play you Max von Sydow couldn't play you I know you'd want him to But Max von Sydow couldn't play you

Geoffrey's got a nice new suit, he bought it yesterday
Ten pounds in an Oxfam shop near Hammersmith Broadway
All the kids admire him, Geoffrey is the face
Geoffrey is that kind of guy
Who always gets away with that sort of things

Geoffrey shops at Safeways, it's got everything he wants
He fills up his pockets with baked beans and blancmange
And all the girls at the tills smile at Geoffrey
He's that kind of guy
Who gets away with that sort of things

Just like Geoffrey Ingram
Geoffrey always gets home as it starts to rain

Me an Geoff got to a Jam gig, we got there too late
The Marquee was sold out and it was only five past eight
But Geoffrey got us on the guest list please don't ask me how
Geoffrey is that kind of guy
Who always gets away with that sort of things

Geoffrey gets away with that sort of things

(Geoffrey Ingram es un personaje de la pelicula A taste of honey, basada en la obra homonima de Shelagh Delaney; dicha obra inspiro varias canciones de los Smiths, siendo citado el mismo Geoffrey en This night has opened my eyes)

The dream has gone but the baby is real

Especial Belle & sebastian.

Homenaje/revision de The Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner, mitica peli del free cinema.

The Long Blondes tambien gustaban bastante de mitificar el cine.

Everybody's a dreamer and everybody's a star,
And everybody's in movies, it doesn't matter who you are.
There are stars in every city,
In every house and on every street,
And if you walk down Hollywood Boulevard
Their names are written in concrete!

Don't step on Greta Garbo as you walk down the Boulevard,
She looks so weak and fragile that's why she tried to be so hard
But they turned her into a princess
And they sat her on a throne,
But she turned her back on stardom,
Because she wanted to be alone.

You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you've hardly even heard of,
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.
Rudolph Valentino, looks very much alive,
And he looks up ladies' dresses as they sadly pass him by.
Avoid stepping on Bela Lugosi
'Cos he's liable to turn and bite,
But stand close by Bette Davis
Because hers was such a lonely life.
If you covered him with garbage,
George Sanders would still have style,
And if you stamped on Mickey Rooney
He would still turn round and smile,
But please don't tread on dearest Marilyn
'Cos she's not very tough,
She should have been made of iron or steel,
But she was only made of flesh and blood.

You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you've hardly even heard of.
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.

Everybody's a dreamer and everybody's a star
And everybody's in show biz, it doesn't matter who you are.

And those who are successful,
Be always on your guard,
Success walks hand in hand with failure
Along Hollywood Boulevard.

I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show,
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes,
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die.

You can see all the stars as you walk along Hollywood Boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you've hardly even heard of,
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.

Oh celluloid heroes never feel any pain
Oh celluloid heroes never really die.

I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show,
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes,
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die.

Joder, ASI SI. Vivan los Kink(i)s!

muezzina rebuznó:
"ASI SI"

No sé si te gusta mucho o poco.

Prongo o quien sea, vaya.

The long blondes - separated by motorways

Frases como "here a listening to this dead eye bitch," "She will never take you higher than her attic room" y "Your mother call your mother" aluden directamente a pelis de Hichtcock como Los Pajaricos, Psicotico y La Muerte me Persigue.

Comet Gain - movies

Escuchar movies Comet Gain - goear.com

Will you take me, will you take me
To the movies, I'm feeling groovy
Will you take me, will you take me
To the movies, I'm feeling groovy

At the King's Cross Scala
All minors, we doubt you're Lucy
Three Polanski's tonight
You bring the speed & I'll bring the popcorn

Will you take me, will you take me
To the movies, I'm feeling groovy
Will you take me, will you take me
To the movies, I'm feeling groovy

What's your favorite Hitchcock?
Determines a friend's real feelings
Strangers on a Train's mine but
Rachel thinks that Rope has its moments

Will you take me, will you take me
To the movies, I'm feeling groovy
Will you take me, will you take me
To the movies, I'm feeling groovy

You Hollywood rubbish
I don't wanna see your blockbusters
We really liked Rushmore
It's like finding a pearl in a haystack

jack-nance.jpg

Comet Gain - jack nances´s hair

Escuchar jack nance hair Comet Gain - goear.com

Political infatuation - a feeling like (?) If you look on the surface you'll find nothing Look to your mother, pension saints The heroes on motorcycles The belief in fact, not truth Loud radios unsettling my nerves As we look back in tune to the (?) sound Belief in what? Belief in yourself Contradict yourself Individuality must and has got to disappear You can sneer, bitch, and ignore We don't care what you think or what you need I don't know why I do the foolish things that I do I don't know why I drink so hard to escape from these movie blues She says, don't listen to their lies You gotta make your feelings known Jack Nance Hair Try to realize You gotta get that meaning Get back your fire again Make your vision known I don't know why my brain feels broken like the earth outside Feels like little holes come together inside of my mind She said, don't bother with those drugs you took You gotta get back on the stage Jack Nance Hair Try to realize You gotta get that meaning Back in your act again Make your feelings show Oh you gotta get that feeling Get back your heart again And make that meaning show So together we stand and feel stronger and braver for it Young, free and single Like the crack in the 45 That makes the guitar snap all night And in the morning it starts all over again We aren't cartoon characters Pain is truth We wear our bitten mouths and fingernails We have We have torn ideals Comet Gain has torn ideals Go home and listen to your cracking needle Your records in their stained sleeves

Comet Gain - jack nance rising

Try and drink it from your mind
But all the time it's there
Makes it hard to even think about tomorrow
I'm worried she knows
Does she knows the biggest worry
The nature of this tension, paranoid dementia
I want it to be so good, relax relax
In all this bleeding forcefield
Giving in, buckling under the weight
of the worries of your imaginings
Sat beside me, heard about it
Half-mumbled language of the past toys with the present
Another man, it seems
I need to make her another album
All about a girl he was briefly in love with
And that passing obsession is now
A manic monument
It's a place where you hold your breath
(breathe out, mind)
And sing a song just for her
I guess she'll never know it
But I'd like just once for her to show it
A bleeding forcefield will surround you
Just for once I'd like her to show it

I don't know why I get this feeling from you, my dear
He died there on the cross
And he showed no fear
Don't worry about the future
You gotta make your passion
The present is only fleeting
You gotta stop your mewling
Get that meaning?
Let your feelings show!

Jack Nance was lost inside this song
A derelict, unknown force & then he's gone
Don't forget about his dreams
Up there on the silver screens
Don't forget about your dreams
Your wife is lying, your kids are dying
You don't know where to turn
Your kids are dying, your wife is lying
You don't know where to turn

We passed the bridge crossing, crossed looks
I guess I seemed like a different person
From the film I was in
I watched that film again
From the safety of my brain
Like Heather Graham (?)
She was born, she says, in Mill Hill, 1969
And it made me sad, thinking about
That part of town
Used to watch football and pass by on the bus
We've been dreaming of Tigertown
Took a tiny turn back towards
I know it's just a detour but it's
The one I need to focus on
He had no place to go
(?) lost inside the (?)
Crying in his sleep, waiting around to die
He imagined her eyes, but somewhere
I know it's just a word on a map
On a wall in a summer house
In a city far away from here
Belonging to someone I don't know
If I lose Tigertown by the time I'm 21
How can it even be there today?

Throw off all the shackles that are weighing you down
Throw down all the robots and phonies
Throw off all those things you don't need
Throw off all the (?) from the premises

For these last few days, just leave me alone

Packed his bags and drove Across the bridge To where she waits by the garden gates On the porch with a lemonade By the cherry trees, won't she be pleased? 'Cause when the call of Hollywood comes You know it's time To come home to where you know That you've grown Took her to the church Put a ring around her neck Like they did when they were kids Just a dot on the map, but there he was Ghost of a movie star Road pointing home On the lonely stretch before you forget What it was That brought you here and takes you Near to your fate, don't wait He buried something in this, wonderful From castles in Spain where she came It's for the people that you miss The girls and boys that you'll never kiss It's for what went wrong It's for what went right It's for what went wrong It's for what went right Appear silent on the tree Branches below the moon Singing bye bye But the door is closing fast On a past she can't go back This fairytale won't warm your heart tonight She's been broken, beaten, and bruised But still believin' I've been broken, beaten, and bruised But still believin' Still believin' in you Still believin' in you Still believin' in you

The Sprites - george romero

It's the end of the world
I wanna live inside a shopping mall
I wouldn't care about the isolation
I'm unconcerned about the Walking Dead

If it's the end of the world
I think I'd handle myself quite well
I wouldn't panic walking past the zombie
I'd try to catch up on some reading and movies

I know all I need to know...
I know all I need to do...
I learned everything from George Romero, Dario Argento,
Maybe Tom Savini, Stuart Gordon, and Sam Raimi
Did they plant the idea or was it always in me?
Do you find me creepy?
Yeah, do I give you the creeps?

It's the end of the world
We could gather half a dozen friends
We'd live in hiding over at JC Penney
Construct a wall to keep the mutants out

When it's the end of the world
We'd land a helicopter on the rooftop
Somebody breaks in through a boarded entrance
Maybe we could make a run for it

I know all I need to know
I learned everything from George Romero, Dario Argento,
Maybe Tom Savini, Stuart Gordon, and Sam Raimi
Did they plant the idea or was it always in me?
Do you find me creepy?

Now it's the end of the world
I always thought I would've been more careful
Didn't look to be a serious bite
Will you wait here 'til I come back to life?

I learned everything from George Romero, Dario Argento,
Maybe Tom Savini, Stuart Gordon, and Sam Raimi
Did they plant the idea or was it always in me?
Do you find me creepy?

My post-apocalytic
Zombie survival fantasy.

I know youre born in 84
Half Polish, half Danish
You started at 8 on Broadway
Youre a star

You dont believe in monogamy
I'm not jealous Scarlett will you marry me
All youve got you can like it
But what I am you will love it

You whisper at horses' ears
I always found it exciting
Im scared by spiders too
I never managed to blame you

Ill sell my mum to be lost with you
Lost in Tokyo or anywhere else
I wish Id been invited
At your party in Disneyland

You dont believe in monogamy
I'm not jealous Scarlett will you marry me
All youve got you can like it
But what I am you will love it

When i noticed for Jared Leto
I felt sad for 30 seconds
Oh when i noticed for Josh Hartnett
I prayed for 40 nights

You dont believe in monogamy
I'm not jealous Scarlett will you marry me
All youve got you can like it
But what I am you will love it

toda bondad, toda candor entregada

Sor Citroen, Sor Citroen (dabadaba)

Cuanta ternura y bondad
Sor Citroen, Sor Citroen (dabadaba)
Siempre te quiere ayudar, Sor Citroen
Como un androide terminan todos los humanoides.

ES MEJOR, MEJOR ASÍ, NO PENSAR EN DESPERTAR
IMAGINAR QUE ESTAS AQUI Y ESO ES CERCA DE MI
IMAGINAR QUE ESTAS AQUI Y ESO ES CERCA DE MI
BUENO VALE O.K. NASTASSIA KINSKI,
BUENO VALE O.K. NASTASSIA KINSKI
YO YA SE QUE NO ES VERDAD, QUE NO ES REAL
Y QUE MAS DA
IMAGINAR QUE ESTAS AQUI Y ESO ES CERCA DE MI
BUENO VALE O.K. NASTASSIA KINSKI,
BUENO VALE O.K. NASTASSIA KINSKI ¡OK!
DESDE TU CAMA VEO NEW YORK Y ASI ES MEJOR,
MUCHO MEJOR
IMAGINAR QUE ESTAS AQUI Y ESO ES CERCA DE MI
BUENO VALE O.K. NASTASSIA KINSKI,
BUENO VALE O.K. NASTASSIA KINSKI,
BUENO VALE O.K. NASTASSIA KINSKI,
BUENO VALE O.K., ¡OK!
Y SI AL FINAL DESPIERTO SOLO, SOLO ESTARE YO Y YO
SI NO ESTAS TU QUE PINTO YO,
QUE PINTO YO SI NO ESTAS TU
SI NO ESTAS TU QUE PINTO YO...
YO Y YO, YO Y YO, YO Y YO, YO Y YO

En Biarritz en nuestra lancha,
en London, have you my lounge?
Gente amable y elegante,

"Girls fantasise on school trips to galleries
Of men who don't meet their parents' expectations
Who want to introduce them to illicit Russ Meyer films,
And dance 'til dawn to old Kinks records.
These are the things you don't understand
Quarter to ten, you're wasting your time
If you want to know me, watch how I dance."
