Creo que este acontecimiento merece hilo propio, no ya porque sean protagonistas mi banda favorita de Rock y mi banda favorita de Heavy Metal, sino por la efemeride celebrada y por la conjuncion de estrellas que acudieron a celebrarla.
El evento tuvo lugar en 2 noches seguidas con todos estas leyendas tocando juntas para conmemorar el 25 aniversario del Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, este fue el Setlist.

Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, BB King, Aretha Franklin, Ozzy Osbourne, Lou Reed, U2, Jeff Beck, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Page, Tom Morello, Sting, Flea, Jason Newsted, Joe Perry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Simon y el jodido Garfunkel y muchos mas.El Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ha celebrado su 25 cumpleaños con un macroconcierto en el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York ayer 29 de Octubre de 2009. Tras la presentación de rigor, efectuada por Tom Hanks, abrió fuego The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis, con una revisión de Whole lotta shakin goin’ on.
Tras una serie de actuaciones de musicos como Crosby, Paul Simon, Dion, Stevie Wonder, B.B. King o Sting finalmente llegó el turno de Bruce Springsteen y la E Street Band, a los que se unían, como en la gira de Tunnel of love, los Miami Horns. Sola o en compañía de amigos, la pandilla de Asbury Park abrochaba la noche con dinamita.
Tom Morello repetía junto al Boss durante el Ghost of Tom Joad y, más tarde, en London calling. Con John Fogerty (ver foto) Bruce cantó Fortunate son, Proud Mary y Oh, Pretty woman, y con Darlene Love, Fine fine boy y Da da ron ron (Inciso: Darlene y la E Street, sin Springsteen, ya habían sumado fuerzas en 1992, cuando grabó junto al grupo All alone on Christmas, compuesta por Steve Van Zandt para la banda sonora de Solo en casa 2). Más adelante Billy Joel se les unía para cantar You may be right, Only de good die young y New York state of mind.
Del repertorio propio de Springsteen no faltaron Born to run, Tenth Ave Freeze-Out, Jungleland o Badlands. El concierto acaba al ritmo de Higher and higher, fastuosa gema soul de Jackie Wilson que Springsteen recuperó la pasada semana en Filadelfia y que no interpretaba desde los míticos conciertos de Boston en 1977.
Mañana, segunda y última noche de fiesta con actuaciones a cargo de U2, Aretha Franklin, Metallica, Lenni Kravitz, Annie Lenox, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Ozzy Osbourne, Lou Reed, etc…
